We believe God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. (Genesis 1:1—“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”; Hebrews 1:3—”…he upholds the universe by the word of his power.”)
We believe that all people are sinful (Romans 3:23—“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”) and in need of redemption, but that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus, His one and only Son, to die in our place—and to rise from the dead—for our redemption (John 3:16—“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”).
We believe that our redemption from sin is an act of God’s unmerited favor—out of His great love—not because of anything we can do on our own (Ephesians 2:8‑9—“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast”), and that there is exactly one way for salvation—through the atoning sacrifice and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12—“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved”). At the same time, we must acknowledge and repent of our sinfulness. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10—“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”)
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and the final authority in all matters (2 Timothy 3:16—“All Scripture is God‑breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”).
And by the way, we believe that marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman. (It seems crazy that we even need write such a blatantly obvious—and clearly biblical—concept.) (Genesis 2:24—“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”; Mark 10:7-9—“From the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate”; Ephesians 5:31—“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”).
